At times the fragility of one’s appearance does not show the strength it endures to survive the toughest of conditions. I somehow have a knack for finding the smallest of scallop shells in the vastness of sand while stronger shells lie in crumble. I see signs tha I truly believe are what some would consider my spirit guides or angels, as you will. I have a way of seeing things that are hard to explain yet so simple for others to understand. The underdog was always my favorite... team, no matter what sport. I always wanted the ones with grit, integrity, resilience and love for what they were doing to show everyone they’ve been underestimated. That’s always something that has driven me, challenges and assumptions I am ‘unable’. During these hardships we as a community have endured or have seen others enduring, we always come together and lift, support, love, help and empathize with our neighbors. It is even more trying and also emphasized in testing our spirits battling fires and loosing so much while also fighting a worldwide pandemic. I hope in all of this, we show everyone around the World, don’t underestimate the underdogs, we can be that example of how to be there, no matter what, for our neighbors, regardless of any of our differences. In the end, it doesn’t matter when you’ve lost everything you work, fight and strive to attain, it can all go away. I guess all this mumbling trail of thought is to say, really focus on the periphery not just what’s in front of you in the moment. How do your actions and non actions affect those in the ripple?
