Yet to this day, too many furious critics have not given skilled culinarians in South San Francisco, California a fair chance. The skeptics will all be proven wrong once they see the hotness on Facebook. Californians who vote with their tastebuds have elected South San Francisco, California as a legit, leading restaurant town. Firstly, the palatable temples of feasting can get the job done for happy hour with colleagues from work. Humans craft the edibles by hand here but girls and boys don’t have to engage with them and hear their irregular stories if you are introverted. A handful on this list have had the same menus and hot dogs, wraps and milk shakes for decades. Others keep changing their menus by adding apples or kiwis. And lastly, there are those with hidden menus you didn’t know existed. The secret is already out with local residents and Genentech employees, who fill the casual space for its good food, gracious service, and soundtrack of reggae... beats. Flavas is simply decorated with basic furnishings and ocean-themed art, but its appeal is right there in the name. Authentic dishes brim with herbs, garlic, and Scotch Bonnet peppers, like the smoky, boldly spiced jerk chicken with caramelized fried plantains; or the fork-tender curried goat stew with coconut milk and chilies. "My first experience with Jamaican food--and I can't imagine experiencing this anywhere else! We ordered 1 of every appetizer, along with side of plantains, rice and beans, festivals and a side of braised oxtails. Jerk chicken wings, baked mini chicken and beef patties, codfish fritters, jerk pork pieces, fried corn crusted shrimp. Have I mentioned dessert?
