All outdoor arenas closed as of 4p today.

Five Star Stables 04.06.2021

Hi, As some of you know, Vanguard Eventing will be joining us at Five Star Stables in March. We are very excited about this and hope that all of you will help us to welcome Danielle and Joe McKinely and their clients to our barn. This means, however, that we will be very busy and need to ensure that everyone follow a few guidelines so that we can all continue to enjoy the barn. Masks & Social Distancing:... Thank you to everyone for helping to keep our barn safe by keeping masks on at all times, except when mounted. We will need to continue our vigilance until things are safe again. With the increase in people at the barn we ask again that anyone who is not riding please not go to the back area. If you are watching a student in the indoor arena, please stay at least 6 feet from others and please do not sit in groups on the deck of the indoor arena. We need to put the riders and trainers first. Parking: Parking is permitted in the lower lot only. Only authorized personnel may drive to the top. When parking please try to create as much space for other cars as possible (if you're the first car to arrive, please try to park to the side of the parking areas so that as many cars can fit in next to you as possible). Please do not park near the stairs (there is a sign that indicates not to park to the left of that sign). When cars park in that section, trailers cannot get through. Also, please park perpendicular to the fence, not at an angle. Other cars are unable to park if a car is at an angle. On the weekends, or during a busy evening, we may open up space in the field in front for overflow parking. We will continue to monitor traffic, especially once we have the additional people at the barn, and will continue to arrange parking to accommodate as many as possible. Drive Slowly: Remember to drive slowly (5 mph) while at the barn since horses, dogs and children may be found even in the lower lot on the way to the front field or trail, or because they live in the home to the right of the entrance. Also, please drive at 10 mph on the one lane road into our facility. This is an easement shared by neighbors and we need to work together to be sure our neighbors are not inconvenienced and feel safe. Dumpster: Someone has been dumping trash from outside the barn into our barn dumpster and filling it so that neither the barn trash or the trash from Ray's home can be added until a pick up has been made. Only trash from the barn and/or Ray's home is allowed in the dumpster. Ray's son filmed someone dumping trash and filling the dumpster. We ask that this not happen again. We thank everyone for helping to keep things flowing smoothly. Our goal is to make everyone's time at the barn as pleasant as possible. -Five Star Stables

Five Star Stables 04.01.2021

During the Shelter in Place we want to remind everyone at Five Star Stables that the only people allowed to come to the barn until further notice are trainers, farriers, veterinarians and persons who own/lease a horse that they need to care for. The following people are asked to stay home at this time; friends, family members and those who do not own/lease a horse at FSS. This rule is being enforced to keep the amount of people at the barn to a minimum. Please keep your tim...e at the barn to the minimum as well. The time spent at the barn is restricted to what needs to be done for your horse on that day which includes meeting a veterinarian/farrier, getting your horse out, graining it, having it trained and/or taking a lesson. Limit bathing horses at this time and any other unnecessary time spent. There is to be no social gatherings what so ever at this time. Please remember to keep social distances, wash your hands regularly and disinfect all items you touch at the barn after use. This would include brooms, rakes, muck buckets, etc. Disinfectant bottles will be placed in cross ties. If you are sick or have come in known contact with someone that has or had Corona Virus please ask stay home! Contact Leah to make arrangements for your horse. Five Star Stables thanks you for your cooperation and understanding at this difficult time. #stayhome
