This is typical of the mush that passes for analysis in our current society. Virginia is well coached and plays great defense. The run the same type of offensive and defensive system that their Coach Tony Bennett has operated since his days at Wisconsin-Green Bay. The media, which knows nothing about basketball, can't understand a system which values defensive stops and limiting turnovers and a team consistently being committed to passing up a good shot for the goal of eventu...ally obtaining a better shot. The casual fan, I not the fan who should be catered to. the NFL caters to the casual fan and look at what a total train wreck that game has become in recent years. If you want to watch basketball that is system free, and where many of the teams play no defense and it is essentially run and gun, than watch the NBA. Virginia plays cerebral basketball. And I for one am happy to watch it. Plus Bennett seems to retain players and you know that if a kid is at Virginia, that they are going to class and also expected to act like a human being. See more
