We packed up the kids and went from a mostly isolated situation to a completely isolated situation. I got out for a run to explore the area today. I have a love/hate relationship with running in new areas. It’s so fun to explore, but I don’t know the area or terrain. I want to be extra aware of my footing, but also want to see what’s going on around me. Do you like to run in new areas or do you prefer your tried and true courses?
Trying to find my feet I’ve had a few weeks of good energy where I have felt good consistently working out and had great energy afterward to do basic life activities like shower and feed the kids. Here’s today’s workout:... Superset x3 Elevated push-ups - 12 Lunge/curl - 12 Superset x3 Incline Chest press - 12 Ice skaters - 20 Superset x3 Lunge/tricep extension - 12 1 leg kettlebell deadlift - 10 each side Finished with 30 overhead walking lunges followed by 10 bicep curls. Monday morning workout! I’m 20 weeks this week and baby seems to be extremely active. I guess they will be trying to keep up with the big kids.
Got in my longest run this pregnancy - 4 miles. I was running pretty consistently pre-pregnancy, but the mid-summer, pandemic, move early in pregnancy slowed that down. Each pregnancy I have run different amounts and it has been exactly what is right for my body and baby at the time. Happy Halloween!
How I modify push-ups in pregnancy. I made pumpkin muffins today AND got in a workout, so I’ve hit my quota for the week.
