It’s so weird, I used to post every other day, which then changed to every other week, which has now evolved into every other month. Ever since I became a teacher I tend to measure my year according to the school calendar, so in my head this year is coming to an end, which is a wonderful time to reflect on the past year. I can’t believe how many wonderful ladies I have met and trained, who have opened their lives to me and let me live through their success and breaking barri...ers they didn’t think they’d be able to overcome. I feel so lucky to be able to be apart of their day and to watch them grow and become stronger. Do you ever feel like this is the story of your life. I know I do, especially living in Los Angeles where I practically live in my car, rushing from place to place, often without a break~~kind of reminds me of the energizer bunny. Sometimes the day is an overwhelming mush of things that jumble into a blur and our bodies seem to switch to autopilot. Lately I’ve really come to appreciate those small breaks, the times when I have that moment to actually sit on my couch and look... out at the window to appreciate the one last tree that they haven’t cut down. Or when I stop and listen to my kids, and realize they’re actually really funny little human beings and that I thoroughly enjoy being around them.
