First Southern Baptist Church Madera

This is our last Sunday with Pastor Mike. He came to be our interim/transitional pastor about 18 months ago. His "assignment" from God was to be our interim pastor/preacher while teaching us how to develop a pastor search committee and the process for searching for the man God wanted to be our next permanent pastor. It was a process that had a pandemic to hinder us some as the church was closed, then held outside, then back inside BUT...finally on March 7, 2021 we called our new Pastor, Ken Hinman. Today Pastor Mike's sermon topic was "How to treat Your new Pastor!" Next week, Pastor Ken will be in the pulpit. We are going to miss Pastor Mike but we are also excited to serve along side Pastor Ken. I hope you enjoy Pastor Mike's message; we did!!

Lester's Moore's services: visitation on Thursday the 25th (tomorrow) at Jay's Mortuary 3-7 pm .... funeral at the First Southern Baptist Church , 711 Nebraska Ave, on Friday (26th) at 2 pm ...then to the Arbor Vitae cemetery for internment, then back to the church to share a meal together.

This will be our last Sunday, March 14, with Pastor Mike. Come and say goodbye and 'thank you" for standing in the gap while we searched for a pastor and strived to serve and minister during the pandemic. We will welcome our new pastor, Ken Hinman, on Sunday March 21 !! Don't forget to set your clocks one hour forward Saturday night!!
