Police officers put their lives at risk every day in the line of duty. When a police officer dies, we feel a collective sense of loss as we recall their bravery and comittment to keeping our communities safe. On Tuesday, August 19th, 1975, Reserve Officer Sixto Maldonado, Jr. was fatally shot and killed, while on-duty, inside of the Firebaugh Police Department. Today, on the anniversary of his line of duty death, we honor his memory and thank him for his dedication and commi...tment to the citizens and the community of Firebaugh.
