Don't get me wrong, bringing high speed internet to the valley is fun. But sometimes you need a fun project to keep things interesting. So, we decided to build our own 3d printer from spare parts, and a little help from ebay. Here's a video of one of the first test runs using it as a plotter. Follow along, as next week we should have the extruder hooked up and move this from 2d to 3d.
