A big congrats to Chaste Christopher Inegbedion of Padbanque.com who received April's eResonaid Scholarship. His startup sets out to become the leading curator and content maker of socially-conscious consumer personal care products and an ecosystem of solutions to period puzzles. In essence, they aim to become the Whole Foods for organic period and personal care products. His startup is committed to supporting small-scale makers and artisans as a way to end poverty and protec...t the planet, and they are passionate about women's empowerment and creating opportunities for marginalized and disadvantaged populations. That is deserving in my eyes, plus the company is in such an early stage that my course can really make an impact on how they will position it for maximum impact. Brands don’t put their A team and adequate budget behind it yet it’s the one stunt that gets all the (negative) press and enables an embarrassing peek into a brand’s shockingly disappointing brand thinking - laid bare for even the most unsophisticated consumers to notice. Couple that with the majority of brands’ personalities not being jokers at their cores and you have a catastrophe brewing up every year on the clock. I can’t believe it was only 4 years ago on Halloween that I sat down to start writing Bigger Than This. It set the perfect scene, but little did I know that it would go on to become such a darling in the brand and entrepreneurship world, being translated into Chinese and Vietnamese, getting praises from within the industry like the Co-Founder of Fast Company, the Creative Director of Amazon and the author of Contagious. It’s been an amazing journey and a huge milestone in my ...career. And it got me connected to many of you. On this extra scary Halloween (stay home, stay safe!)
