A reminder mostly for myself. Any other moms struggle with the super mom complex? We need to STOP THAT S***! All it’s doing is modeling unhealthy expectations for our children, burning us the F* out, and nothing is really getting done in the capacity that it needs to anyways.. it’s NOT serving anyone! Sorry for the yelling, but moms need more support. Moms need to ask for more help. Support needs to be more accessible.... This conversation has come up a lot the past few weeks so I took it as a sign to tell you too, mama. I know you can do it all. But you shouldn’t have to.

HOW TO HELP YOUR PARTNER WITH BREASTFEEDING Just added this fun graphic (first time doing this style) to my Planning for Postpartum Bliss Course as a bonus in the Feeding Support Module. It is so close to being done! I have one more module to record and a few links and resources to add in and then it’s LAUNCH TIME! Don’t forget to get on my VIP MOM list for a chance to get the course for free. How you can support the breastfeeding parent:... Help With Night Feeds: Simply waking up with your partner can help reduce the mental load of night feeds. You can change baby's diaper, bring extra pillows, refill mom's water, make sure baby is latched, dim the lights, etc. Babywear for Contact Naps: Once baby is fed, changed, and ready for sleep, you can take over on soothing, getting baby to sleep, and being ready to contact nap if needed. Great for bonding too. Take Charge of Other Infant Care: Know the basics of infant care so you can take charge without needing to be told what to do. That's parenting! Know What to Expect: Knowing what a typical breastfeeding routine looks like will help you better support the breastfeeding parent. Read up or take a breastfeeding course online together. It's important to expect that breastfeeding my be emotional, challenging, time consuming, exhausting and sometimes require professional assistance. It is also important for both parents to know the benefits of breastfeeding. Encouragement: Simple words of encouragement or gratitude for taking on the enormous task of breastfeeding will mean the world to the newborn mom. Bring Snacks and Water: Breastfeeding can make leave mom extremely hungry, tired, and thirsty. You can help by bringing water and nutritious snacks each nursing session.

Mama, I know you are trying to keep your baby safe at all times. And you need to know that a blanket over the stroller on a warm day can create unsafe conditions for your baby. Some better stroller practices to keep baby cool and safe on warm days: When shopping for a stroller look for a large canopy to provide shade and a breathable back panel to provide ventilation and airflow.... Get a small clip-on fan to give baby a breeze and keep air flowing. Offer plenty of fluids on warm days. Provide sun protection with UV protective clothing and a hat. Please! Share with your mom friends!

It really is that simple!! We tend to overthink some of our most instinctual of mom tasks- but really you can nurse in almost anything! Here is what I usually wear and how I nurse comfortably in it. ZERO nursing clothes, just nursing friendly tops and (sometimes) a nursing bra. Just don’t ask me to show you how to nurse in a dress with a high neckline. In that case you should get something cute from @latchedmama
