URGENT MESSAGE You are about to be asked for a critical decision regarding your child's education by the school district. It is of the utmost importance that you are fully informed of this decision. You will be asked to commit to one of two options for the entirety of the school year. The terminology that is being used may be confusing, please note the following definitions:... The technique of providing education to students: "Remote" - This refers to the usage of the internet for teaching. "Blended" - This refers to a mixture of remote and in-school participation. The Education Track "Hybrid" - aka Option 1 - This maintains the existing Field DLIP education track, but modified for Remote and Blended techniques. "Hybrid" WILL begin the school year using the REMOTE technique, and will shift to BLENDED, whenever the school district re-opens in person school activity. "100% Online" - aka Option 2 - This features a separate curriculum provided by the district that will likely not closely follow Field's Mandarin DLIP curriculum (even though you will still be technically enrolled at Field). This track will be REMOTE for the entire school year, and you will likely NOT be able to shift to the "Hybrid" track during the middle of the school year. NOTE! If you are currently concerned about your child's exposure to COVID and want them to learn at home, "Hybrid" DOES provide that safety. "Hybrid" will be 100% remote until the district determines that it is safe to resume in-person classes.
