Today, first-time meeting Toastmaster Elaine Ng (first thumbnail from the right) convened FiDi Toastmasters once again on Zoom during the noon hour and we all showed no equanimity **snap, snap** as we made our voices heard! The meeting featured new member, Mariela Lopez (second thumbnail from the left), who delivered a personal and powerful ice-breaker speech titled, What’s In A Name. Also making a cameo appearance was Sponge Bob, courtesy of longtime member Janice Hom (s...econd thumbnail from the right) who served as our meeting timer, and we were even treated to this great (if inadvertent) over-the-glasses look from Gabriela (pictured in the main frame) with her I Voted Sticker proudly displayed. We will reconvene again on Wednesday, November 4th at 12 noon, so mark your calendars today and sign up for a role or sign up to join us as a guest now, as we plan on partnering with the Asian Art Museum’s Toastmasters Club once again. Lastly, and if that is not enough to induce you to act, here is a teaser for you. If you don’t join us on November 4th, you just might be missing the latest from our Photojournalist Toastmaster Extraordinaire, Ms. Jana Ašenbrennerová. So, don’t miss out! The harmful effects of FOMO (Fear Of Missing Out) are real, yo! Cheers! Eduardo (Ed) Cabrera Your Dedicated VP of PR FiDi Toastmasters
In a first-of-its-kind collaboration, FiDi Toastmasters and the Asian Art Museum Toastmasters Clubs coalesced and held an engaging, educational, and entertaining virtual Toastmasters meeting on Zoom during the noon hour today. We hope this is the beginning of a series of collaborative efforts to enhance the virtual experience for all participating Toastmasters moving forward!
We have a great and first-of-its-kind Zoom meeting planned today with our special guests, the Asian Art Museum Toastmasters Club! Today's theme is "Together We Learn, Together We Grow!"
In our effort to continue providing ample opportunities for our members to improve their leadership skills by becoming effective public speakers, FiDi Toastmasters reconvenes on Zoom this Wednesday, August 26th from 12 noon to 1:00 pm. Like all our meetings, we will host members and special guests, but we will also welcome members of the Asian Art Museum Club, who have also transitioned to virtual meetings, as many of us continue working from home during the ongoing pandemic.... Thinking about checking us out, but unsure where to start? Contact Ed, our VP of Public Relations at [email protected]. Our theme this week: Together We Learn, Together We Grow!
FiDi Toastmasters has successfully transitioned onto meeting virtually during this ongoing shelter-in-place, and now would be a great time to hone your public speaking and leadership skills from the comfort of your own home. If you would like to join us, let us know! Our Club Officers are hard at work to make this time as useful to our members as possible.
Join FiDi Toastmasters for our annual open house tomorrow (Wednesday) at One Sansome Street in San Francisco (Entrance on Sutter Street side), on the 12th Floor. Check in with the guard in the lobby and have them badge you up to the FiDi Toastmasters meeting at HUD!
Every Halloween week, FiDi Toastmasters hosts a Spooky Speech-a-Thon. This year was no different. Good times.
