Today is Cesar Chavez Day. Cesar Chavez was a Chicano civil rights activist, farm labor leader and community organizer. He dedicated his life to combating the racial and economic injustice farmworkers face, founding the first successful farm workers union and developing programs to improve the workers' quality of life. FHCSD was born from similar grassroots community organization efforts, and we aim to celebrate Cesar Chavez and honor his vision for a more equitable world every day.
