Attention! This Saturday, June 23rd, all EBT accounts will be down for maintenance. With that in mind, in partnership with our Saturday volunteers from College Avenue Congregational Church, we will be open from 8am-12 pm for emergency food and clothing needs. In light of this, we will not have Saturday hours on June 30th.

Please help us spread the word: Interfaith and our Feed Modesto programs already address food security, nutrition, and fitness, but we have identified a gap in services available locally to help folks make peace with their bodies and their unique abilities, and their relationships with food and the messages we receive about what health LOOKS like. CEO Elizabeth Wight is a licensed Body Positive facilitator through The Body Positive and we are getting ready to launch a group t...o support each other, whether you suffer from an eating disorder, compulsive eating, poor body image, low self-esteem, or you just feel tired of being inundated with messages about what your body should look like. However, we want to talk to YOU about how these groups should be formatted, so we need your help. Whether you are interested in joining us or know folks who might be, please take these two steps: 1. A final note: This is a sensitive topic and folks tend to get very opinionated about it, but due to the trauma and issues many people have surrounding this issue, be forewarned that we will be moderating comments for this post and negative comments will not be allowed, however, private discussion via messenger is welcome.

Since last week's talk about hunger by the Interfaith CEO at TEDxModesto, we have received numerous requests for tours and information about how to get involved. With this in mind, we'll be scheduling open tours where anyone can come and see firsthand what's going on, and learn about how you can help. Our first such tour will be Monday, October 9th at noon, 120 Kerr Avenue, Modesto. Please join us and share!
