In case you aren't aware, chambering a round repeatedly does wear it out. For carry ammo your life depends on, typically don't chamber a round more than three times. Cycle the chambered round to the bottom of your magazine. And track how many times you do this. When you've cycled each round 3 times, or once a year if possible, replace your carry ammo. But new, and use the old stuff in training so you know the feel of your carry gun with carry ammo. Don't wait til the heat of battle to learn an angel pissed in the flintlock of your musket.
