Students in the Pre-K Blue class recently presented a show to the students in Pre-K Green. They worked hard to create the props and learn the story. The story, titled Le gros navet was exciting for them to act out in class. #prekfun #fassvfun #bilinguallearners

Students in first grade proudly displayed the books they created after reading, "le renard qui ne savait pas partager" in French class. The students happily took these home on Friday after finishing their final details. #bilinguallearners #fassvfun

At FASSV, we feel it is important to acknowledge the recent increase in violent acts towards Asians/Asian American communities in the United States and around the world. FASSV will continue to stand against hate and racism of any kind. The resource below is available to those who would like to know more about how we can support the children. #fassvstrong #bilinguallearners #diversityandinclusion https://www.embracerace.org//violence-against-asian-americ

Our youngest learners at FASSV discovered whether objects sink or float this past week during French class. The students discussed their observations with peers and even made their own small boats. #bilinguallearners #fassvfun

After reaching out to an alumni parent who had commented on our page, we were delighted to receive this email regarding a couple of our former students. We congratulate them on their accomplishments and are so thankful to have been delighted by their beautiful photos. The email can be read below: I have two daughters that attended FASSV from Pre-K to graduation in 5th grade. Madeleine Webber Nicastro is now 26 and is in her last year of medical school (Class of 2021) in h...opes of becoming an OB/GYN. She completed her undergraduate in Molecular & Cellular Biology at Westmont College in Santa Barbara. She was even able to use her French while on a medical mission trip to the Dominican Republic with Haitians seeking medical treatment. Elisabeth Webber is now 23 and graduated with a major in psychology and a minor in French from the University of Puget Sound. After college she worked at a long term mental health hospital working with at risk teens. She is now starting a masters degree at the University of Denver (Class of 2022) in hopes of becoming a mental health therapist. We loved our experience at FASSV it was an incredible school and certainly helped give them the elementary experience to succeed in their chosen passions. Regards, Francine P.s. Pictures attached. This FASSV student has a new passion she developed during the shelter in place. She creates Playdough kits with a variety of themes. She cooks the Playdough by herself, paints the peg dolls, glues wood stamps, and searches for accessories to buy on theinternet. Below, you can see a photo she shared displaying her fall kit. #fassvfun #spiritday
