Back from a much needed social media break with an afternoon burial for your viewing pleasure. I have such appreciation and (slight envy) how families with rich cultural roots mix their funeral customs with western traditions. This particular family is Iranian but don’t consider themselves fully Muslim. So, we did a religious washing & shrouding then proceeded with a regular casket & burial. Halvâ, dates & generosity were certainly present. Thank you to this wonderful family for inviting me to participate in your rituals - always teaching & reminding me what life is really about
