#Repost @bringatrailer Just in time for Halloween... The Monster! Modified for competition back in 1966, this 1965 Sunbeam Tiger spent 38 years with its current owner, registered more track wins than any other Tiger in-period, and has participated in vintage racing events since 2013. Now it's ready for a new home on #BaTPremium! Nicknamed the Monster during its racing days, the initial build included components from the #9 Le Mans Lister Tiger coupe, which included alu...minum body panels, oversized Girling disc brakes, and magnesium Dunlop wheels. It’s powered by a race-prepared 347ci Ford V8 built in 2013, and features four twin-choke Weber IDA carburetors, Watts-linkage rear suspension, and a right-hand-drive cockpit. The Monster and its racing history have been chronicled in various publications, copies of which are included in the sale. Get a closer look at this veteran of the track before it closes Wednesday! #Repost @bringatrailer This 1935 Auburn 851 Boattail Speedster is finished in Swiss Green over Caramel Beige leather and powered by a 280ci Lycoming straight-eight equipped with a Schwitzer-Cummins centrifugal supercharger. Additional features include a three-speed transmission, Columbia dual-ratio rear end, a Startix automatic starting system, hydraulic brakes, Caramel Beige wire wheels, a green soft top, and side curtains. Following the completion of a 2015 refurbishme...nt by an Auburn restorer, this Speedster spent four years on display at the Blackhawk Museum in Danville, California. Now it's listed on #BaTPremium, closing Friday! Auburn began building boattail speedsters in the early 1930s, and the 851 was introduced for the 1935 model year with updated styling by Gordon Buerhig. Built for only two years before production was terminated at the end of 1936, the model featured pontoon fenders, a raked V-shape windscreen, and tapered boattail rear bodywork. This example features contrasting Caramel Beige double pinstripes along the belt line, and the hood louvres and Super-Charged badges are painted to match. Closeups of the finish, trim, and lenses are presented in the listing's photo gallery. Check it out at the linkinbio! @bringatrailer
