February is National Teen Dating Violence Awareness and Prevention Month #TDVAM. This is an issue that affects everyone not just teens but their parents, teachers, friends and communities as well. Together, we can raise the nation's awareness about teen dating violence and promote safe, healthy relationships. We know reaching out isn't easy. If you are in an abusive relationship or have been affected by sexual violence, help is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, through Family Services' Crisis Hotlines. We also offer a Web Chat feature Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm., to provide support and information to domestic violence survivors. www.fstc.net/help
Help is available for survivors of abuse, but it isn’t always easy (or even possible) to reach out when they need it the most. Learn how to recognize a signal and help someone else.
This Friday is the LAST day to deliver gifts and wrapping supplies for the Santa Store Holiday Gift Drive. We are open this week from 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., at 735 W. Oak St. in Visalia. Please wear a mask, and ring the doorbell when you arrive. Thank you for making this holiday memorable for the families we serve at Karen's House and other programs. We want every child we serve to feel loved, seen, and important when they open a gift this Holiday season-- and to do that, we need your help! You can still donate gifts, shop our Amazon wish list, or make an online donation to our gift fund through this Friday, December 11. All the details are available at www.fstc.net/Santa. Thank you!
