We have one more week of clay at one of our public schools. In this particular session we introduced North American Indigenous Art and culture. Did you know that not all native dwellings were called Tipis/Teepees. Tipis were specific to the people of the Great Plains and Canadian Prairies who needed temporary dwellings that could be broken down to follow the Buffalo heard. Tipis are distinguishable by their smoke flaps, unlike other cone structures. . . . .
