Eye and Eye Photography

I miss seeing people’s faces, so here is a recent project I did for my production team at work! Look at all these beautiful people but also remember to still wear your mask so we can all smile at each other again soon!!!

Trying to find my light, I’ve felt overcome by depression most of my adult life, recently I’ve embarked on a new mental health path with so far extreme positive results, if you’ve dealt with depression you know that dark voice within, to be able to finally silence that and be able to fill that space with love for myself, I hope brings back a light I know I possess.

Some beautiful paths can’t be discovered without getting lost

TO BE HOPEFUL in bad times is not just foolishly romantic. It is based on the fact that human history is a history not only of cruelty, but also of compassion, sacrifice, courage, kindness. The eyes are the mirror of the soul and reflect everything that seems to be hidden; and like a mirror, they also reflect the person looking into them.

Sometimes my wandering finds intimate places hidden within vast wildernesses, and a sense of connection is shared in the empty landscape of all the lucky few who also stumbled past upon this space.

Stand up for those who can’t, for what you believe in, what you would die for, for what you want for not only your future, but humanities.

The Cahuilla believed that they lived in a systematic, but unpredictable, universe, in which one could maintain existence only by being able to access and use "?iva?a," or power, which was also unpredictable, and potentially dangerous. They accordingly were constantly in a state of apprehension about the future, an attitude that was realistic in the desert environment of their homeland. Find your power but make it the best power the Cahuilla like many regional Indians believed in circular, connected, coexistence with their surroundings and themselves.

Sometimes I shoot because of a creative idea, sometimes it’s just a need, and other times it’s just something to do, but this photos is in an attempt to escape as well as capture. To create is sometimes my way of escaping my own anxiety and negative thought patterns, it’s a moment to focus on the moment and use my camera as a tool to find my self. This image below is just that, me stuck in my room on a Friday after a long week of work, my mind swirling like the fan above me, my face a mix of focus and confused, contemplating the unknown but also surrendering to the beauty of its mystery, which is also how these photos are taken each frame an unplanned unknown.
