Trying to master it all will result in not being very good at anything. Network find other people in your vicinity who specialize in things your clients will ask you about. If you’re a medical aesthetician, find a great dermatologist, plastic surgeon, massage therapist, chiropractor, etc.! Create an ho...nest referral system. Subscribe & Study @newbeauty, @skinincmag, @allure, @ascpskincare @dermascope, @americanspamag, and many more! Study every day. Our industry is changing by the minute so develop the mindset of being a forever student! Follow other professionals in your specialty. Develop a loving, supportive online community. These people will inspire you daily and help you grow in more ways than you could ever imagine. Get involved find a cause you are drawn to and get involved in local fundraising. Donate your services! Surround yourself with a driven, positive community. Attend try to go to as many conferences & shows and virtual trainings as you can, especially if you live in a city like Las Vegas or Los Angeles that hosts them often! Volunteer to work at the booths of different skincare lines that you like/use/carry. They always need extra hands! Visualize Develop tunnel vision and focus relentlessly on whatever your goals may be! Failure is inevitable, but it’s a speed-bump, not a road block! Have compassion you will meet people who need you. It can be consuming to reply to every message, give free consults or spend your days off creating skincare regimens for relatives/friends but I cannot tell you how rewarding it is in the long run. Try not to become too transactional. Don’t let others take advantage, but be compassionate when you can. It’s always worth it. Be ethical this is the line that divides the good from the great. Don’t do anything that doesn’t fall under your scope of practice and don’t let anyone you work for(including your clients!) ever pressure you into it either. It’s not and will never be worth it.
