Hip Hop 4 Teaching Artist Mr. Ernesto of Versa-Style Dance Company & EBD! student Oscar talk about the importance of knowing your dance history & the roots of Hip Hop culture. (For the full convo check out our Youtube page!)
Wow, our EBD! students are killing it! Check this clip from last night's Master Class with L.A. Dance Project's Doug Baum and our Jazz 3 students. This is just one of the amazing opportunities our students have to be taught by world renowned professionals. Doug Baum began his dance training in Maryland at Mid-Atlantic Center for the Performing Arts before graduating from the Baltimore School for the Arts in 2006. In 2010, Doug received his BFA from Fordham University in col...laboration with The Ailey School, where he apprenticed with Ailey II for two years. Since graduating, he has worked with Bad Boys of Dance, Compagnie Flak, Les Ballets Jazz and most recently Complexions Contemporary Ballet. Doug has completed three seasons with Zhukov Dance Theater in addition to guesting with Peridance, Ezdanza, Thang Dao, and Company XIV. *We do not own the rights to the music*

Happy February! This month we are celebrating the accomplishments of Black dancers and artists who have created and inspire so many forms of dance. First up are The Nicholas Brothers - two of the greatest Tap dancers of all time! Fun Fact: In this clip, the choreography was not rehearsed and was filmed in one take! https://bit.ly/3j51K9s... Stay tuned for a spotlight on some of our Black Teaching Artists coming soon...#BlackHistoryMonth
