100 years ago Amazon wasn't around, but you could buy just about anything from Sears via their massive catalogsincluding a house. The Sears catalog offered 40+ house styles ranging in price from $400$10,000. From 1908-1942 Sears sold around 75,000 house kits. Once delivered, many of thes...e houses were assembled by the new homeowner, relatives, friends, and neighbors. Sears even bragged that Any man of reasonable strength, size, and intelligence can assemble a Sears & Roebuck home. Would you order one of these DIY houses? . . . . . #RealEstate #DIY #Sears #Amazon #SanDiego #Houses
