Thank you Ramona Fire Department!!! As fires rage in neighboring areas and our community stays on alert, I'm feeling grateful to our town's firefighters for the courageous work they do. I'm also feeling really thankful that the firefighters welcomed children into the station at our Halloween candy buy-back and all throughout the year. Children have a lot of legitimate fears about fires and the connections the firemen make with our community really helps process these confusing emotions in a healthy way. Thank you firemen! What to do if a child's permanent tooth gets knocked out! (Live from Jonah Brilliant's 7th Birthday Party)

Drs. Todd Brilliant and Jennifer Neglerio of Estates Dental, family, staff members and volunteers had a great time delivering dozens of pounds of recovered Halloween candy to firemen at Fire Station 81 in the Estates. For the fourth year, Estates Dental sponsored a Candy Buyback program to encourage children to think twice about the amount of sweets they consume. Kids were encouraged to bring their candy to the dental office where they were paid $1 per pound for it, along wit...h a matching donation made to their school. All the candy was then donated to the firemen, who were very appreciative. The firefighters were delighted, said Sharon Brilliant, and we were charmed. Everyone at Fire Station 81 in the Estates had a great time on Nov. 16, when the firefighters received Halloween candy turned in by kids as part of Estates Dental’s Candy Buyback program.
