My ultimate goal is to become a Judge one day. Until that day comes, I’ll settle for working as a Temporary Judge throughout LA County when Judges are out on vacation or call out sick.

Had the honor as President of the Southeast District BAR Association to present 3 college scholarships on behalf of the organization to 3 excellent and deserving students

As President of the Southeast District BAR Association (SEDBA), I thought it would be fun to challenge the Whittier BAR Association to a softball game... the game was yesterday and it was epic!!! We had jerseys made for Team SEDBA and had 7 sponsors for the event (including my law office). Although SEDBA lost 10-9 in a nail biter, EVERYONE had a blast and a rematch is already in the works for the Fall. #LawyersHaveFunToo

Last night was our State of the Courts event attended by 40 lawyers and judges from the Southeast District BAR Association... my first general meeting as President.

A few weeks ago, I had the honor of being installed as the President of the Southeast District BAR Association (SEDBA) of Los Angeles County for 2019... The Gala was attended by over 150 lawyers and judges. Our keynote speaker was the O.J. Simpson prosecutor, Attorney Christopher Darden. It was an unforgettable night and the next step in my career that I welcome with big ideas and determination for a successful SEDBA year...

11 years ago today, the Law Office of Eric A. Torices opened its doors... I thank God for the learning experiences, the difficulties, the successes, and the personal growth I’ve had during these years. If it were up to me, this coming year would be my last year with a law office as my goals and priorities have shifted to the next step in this journey. But my plans mean nothing compared to His plans for my career... and I trust them wholeheartedly.... #

I had the privilege and honor of being sworn-in as President-Elect for the Southeast District BAR Association last Saturday... My duties include organizing legal fairs for those in need who can benefit from free legal advice, promoting assistance for the under-represented, and carrying out a full year of service to the community. It’s going to be both fun and rewarding... I’m excited!... As for my facial expression, pay no attention to my dorky grin... I’ve been a nerd my entire life

Today is a VERY special day for me... the 10-year anniversary of the day I opened the Law Offices of Eric A. Torices!!! The story goes like this... when I passed the California BAR Exam I knew I wanted to open up my own practice but had no idea where. One night, I got a text from my friend who said her Dad had an office available in his building. So I went to check it out only to find the heads of dead animals hanging on the walls (top left pic)... I was immediately sold! Lit...tle by little the animals left the office 2 by 2 and the books and world maps came into the office. On August 13, 2007, I opened for business... I've given over 5000 free consultations and been blessed with 942 clients since that day. Yes, I keep track lol Over the years, I've had numerous mentors who have taught me what I know today including Richard Leonard who I share the office with (bottom left pic). I've only had 2 paralegals... Monica who was with me for 5 1/2 years and Mayra who has been with me the last 4 1/2 years and hopefully will be with me the next 25 years either in my office or at a courthouse. But the success of my business wouldn't be possible without God's amazing grace or without the endless referrals that all of you have sent my way over the years. I appreciate them more than you know. If I've represented you in the past, you know how much of myself I give to making sure you end up with what you're rightfully entitled to and with a result you can be happy about. #TheAmericanDreamInFullEffect
