It maybe easier to sit the child in front of a screen and then you go and do your work but you don't want you and your family to end up looking like bogeyed Quasimodo's.... The big rules: 1) Only allow a short period of time in front of any screens and take regular breaks (5 minutes every hour). 2) Ensure that your desk is ergonomically friendly.
