Happy 11 year anniversary . 11 years ago today I walked into Cheer Force (the old Epic) as a kid with a dream. I dreamed of a place that people can come together to support one another, and achieve health goals they never thought possible. . 11 years ago I made a vision board of what the ultimate Epic looked like and it started to take shape! I could never imagine what it has turned into. We have helped thousands of lives change for the better. We have seen members set goals... they never thought they could achieve and absolutely crush them. All the hours of countless talks and mindset resets, we have seen so many breakthroughs. It’s been my amazing pleasure to serve the city of Simi Valley and can’t wait to see what the next 11 years will bring. . Shoutout to all of our amazing racers and volunteers! This past Sunday we put on an Epic Run with over 75 racers! We had a 10k, 1/2, and full marathon all throughout Simi Valley. This would have not been possible if it wasn’t for our amazing team and tribe members. We are proud of each and everyone of you for training over 12 weeks for this event. I literally have no words for what transpired yesterday, I am still trying to digest the amazingness of what happened. I’ve been running for 9 years now and to run my 7th full marathon event in our home town of Simi was epic! To not only see the epic tribe come together and take to the streets of this 26.2 mile journey, but to see the whole community just come out and support for a great cause. We run for those who can’t, in hopes one day they can! . Congrats @ericabaz on t...his amazing accomplishment and to live the legacy your dad has left. I am so blessed to have done this race with you and these memories will last a lifetime..... favorite marathon to date! . Linda all I have to say is FOMO is real! What a huge task to accomplish and I am so thankful to have experienced that with you! . I am so thankful to be apart of this amazing journey. Over the last 12 months I’ve had some challenges and major life changes that have helped me see my why and fight through my internal battles. I am so lucky to have crazy friends who think it’s fun to run a marathon on a Sunday morning and all the other runners that got up and joined us for some miles. . The Epic Staff: We are a force for good in this world and 2020 brought us all closer together and more driven to help the people of our community.
