But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me. - 2 Corinthians 12:9

"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." -Romans 6:23 God offers forgiveness of sins and an eternal... home in Heaven- by far the greatest gifts ever- to any and all who will accept Jesus as their Savior. If you would like to live forever in Heaven with Him, just sincerely pray something like this- "Dear God, I know I'm a sinner and I'm lost without you. I believe Jesus died on the cross for my sins, and He overcame death by rising from the dead. Please forgive me of my sins and give me an eternal home in Heaven with you. Thank you Lord for saving me!" It's a wonderful thing to have your eternity secure in Him! (If you have any questions, I am happy to help if I can- just let me know...)

The Law. What is it good for? Paul, inspired by the Holy Spirit in his first letter to his spiritual son Timothy, reveals the answer! If you are fighting addiction, you'll need to know the answer to this question more so than many. See you Tues. 7:00 PM at CCT!

We’ve started a study in the first letter to Timothy from the Apostle Paul. Join us as we examine how the ministers of the gospel are to conduct themselves. Most think that this is all Paul discusses in his first letter to his true son in the faith, but hang in there. There’s something exciting in this letter for us all! Join our EPIC group at CCT on 17th Street in Santa Ana. The word of God never disappoints!

In the secular world today the line between right and wrong and good and evil has, at the very least, become blurred and that blurred line keeps moving. We should rejoice that we have a Father in heaven Who has set a standard of living for us and doesn’t change that standard under any circumstances.

Naughty and Nice List Realizing it not near Christmas you might wonder why someone would call to mind the fictional idea of Santa Claus and his dreaded naughty and nice list. Well, it brought to mind the way we as sinners see our sins. Most times we feel that Christ will judge us as naughty or nice. The nice people or those who decided to be nice, can be saved but those who are naughty, or too naughty, cannot. The scripture is clear, there is none righteous (in right stan...Continue reading

Let us not imagine that the truth of the divine self-sufficiency will paralyze Christian activity. Rather it will stimulate all holy endeavors. This truth, while a needed rebuke to human self confidence, will when viewed in its Biblical perspective lift from our minds the exhausting load of mortality and encourage us to take the easy yoke of Christ and spend ourselves in Spirit-inspired toil for the honor of God and the good of mankind. For the blessed news is that the God,... who needs no one, has in sovereign condescension stopped to work by and in and through His obedient servants. I have not once heard it said of anyone that they were a better person before they became a Christian. I have seen countless people however, ruined by false rel...igions and some even become extremely evil. Jesus changes all those who trust in Him for the better. He sobers up drunks, He frees drug addicts, He makes cheaters faithful, He turns liars into truth bearers, He makes the thief honest, He turns the religious into the righteous and makes the covetous person content. He is the King of Kings and He is the Lord of Lords! He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life and no one comes to the Father but through Him!

Life Outside The Garden Prodigals Parents,... If you have read any Christian or secular book on parenting you have more than likely noticed that the parents bears, somewhere in the neighborhood of, 100 percent of the responsibility for the behavior of their children. Even admonitions from Our God tells parents to Train up and not exasperate but no where does it say parents are 100 responsible. God knew with a free will children needed to be instructed by His commandments such as Honor your father and mother plus children that curse their parents would be put to death Parents often find the guilt of having a prodigal placed completely on their shoulders and many bear it to great shame and depression. Well, I’m here to tell you the truth from God’s word that the very birth of that child created a prodigal, not you. Yes, that is correct, as soon as that child came screaming into this fallen world you had a prodigal on your hands. You might say, They were raised in a Christian home Well, that’s the exact reason I became a prodigal. All I knew was church and had not experienced the emptiness of the world. You might say, I made so many mistakes as a Christian parent. Well, let me deal with it this way. The Bible in Ezekiel 18 says, The soul that sins, it will die. Ezekiel then goes on to delineate this quite clearly through the whole of the chapter. The father is not responsible for the son nor the son for the father. (ie. The good father has a bad son and the bad son, becomes a father and has a good son.) Who then dies for their wickedness? The one that sins and did the wickedness. Our Heavenly Father made no mistakes and yet He has a planet, He created out of His love, that is full of prodigals. It’s not our responsibility to carry the load for a prodigal. It’s His! He speaks to every heart. Did I mention, He speaks to EVERY heart. He Loves Perfectly! How many of us know of people that had a horrible childhood yet came to Christ in their teens or twenties and love their Lord and Redeemer with abandon. There are others who knew, experienced and embodied all that Christ, the Christian life and church can offer and still rebel with abandon. This is solely in the purview and foreknowledge of Our Father. He created the free will. He knows the plans He has for everyone. He will accomplish His purpose through the wicked and the righteous. We must merely trust that He is good, which He is, and let Him do His best work. You were redeemed by Christ’s shed blood. You cannot redeem anyone by carrying shame, guilt, anger or depression. Let the redemptive work of Christ make the change, you wait patiently for the change to happen since we are living Life Outside The Garden.

Life Outside The Garden Broken Clocks You will hear people say, even a broken clock is right twice a day. It’s a convenient way of saying, Even though this person, group or agency is predominately wrong, on most of the issues or information they espouse or peddle, on this one issue they are correct.... With truth being in such scarce supply it’s time to take issue with this saying. What we need to do is throw out the broken clock and get one that tells you the truth on a consistent basis, better yet, one that tells the truth always. Let’s define truth, in its objective and subjective forms. Jesus Is Truth. He not only told the Truth, represented Truth, lived Truth, He is Truth in all its forms, objective & subjective. When a minister, politician or close friend deviates from the truth of Jesus and their dogma or doctrine is completely against the principles that Truth (see above definition) declares we need to be weary of quoting, promoting or even entertaining that, and lets call it like it is, error. We see otherwise Godly men and women who will quote contemporary Christian ministers and even secular sources to substantiate their God ordained truth where if the sufficiency of scripture does not answer or is not pithy enough then there are men and women of Christian history who have earned the right by their stance for the Truth (see above definition) to be quoted and heard. Many men and women of Christian history have, to borrow a line from a movie, Stepped in time with the Truth of Jesus their whole life. Obviously their timing mechanism may have lost a second or two during their life time but we find that these men and women, who relished Truth, always found themselves back in True timing with Jesus Christ and His Truth. Should you find yourself four minutes off the True time, that for instance an atomic clock might tell you, then its time to reset the clock, get realigned, sync yourself to the Truth. Now if your clock is saying day is night and night is day (calling good, evil and evil, good i.e. Isaiah 5:18-25) then it’s time to repent. Change direction. Get Truth as your true source. So, throw out the Broken Clocks and make Truth your timing mechanism since we are living Life Outside The Garden.
