Engenius of Morgan Hill is reopening on Monday, June 8th! All summer, we will be offering programs in Math-Reading-Writing, Test Prep, Study Skills, course reviews and course previews for everything up through AP level. We will continue to offer remote tutoring in addition to in-person, so everyone can choose the method that works best for them. I am configuring the center for social distancing, and we are limiting the number of students at each table (and in the center overa...ll). We are also doing our Turn Back the Clock promotion right now, rewinding our prices as far back as 1995 to help students get caught up this summer after missing out on school-as-usual for the last few months! CSUs recently announced that the SAT/ACT will not be included on the application resume for the graduating class of 2021. UCs announced that those tests will be optional on applications this year. What does this mean?... Many students will opt not to take the SAT/ACT, putting a much greater emphasis on high school GPA and courses taken. This will be of the utmost importance for CSU schools, who will have little other basis to select their applicants. Meanwhile, the school year has been cut short by 2-3 months, and the Summer Slide has more than doubled in length, putting the average student way behind where they need to be in order to remain competitive! For UC schools, it also puts a greater emphasis on achieving high test scores on ACT/SAT. The average score will surely go up, with many below-average scorers opting to not take the test, and those who want to attend top-ranked schools will need to separate themselves from the pack with a top-notch score. We are here to help students in all areas - whether trying to pump up a GPA, maximize an SAT/ACT score, or complete the course requirements for an AP class that was cut short in May. Now is not the time to be complacent! Take advantage of the time you have to improve your academic game!
