APRIL INSTRUCTOR'S CORNER: Check out what I. Jacob's has to say in this month's enewsletter! Hi Everybody! I hope you are all doing well! Instructor Jacob here! I am 15 and have seen the EMA family strengthen for about 7 years. I got the opportunity to start assisting with classes as a purple advanced belt when I was about 10 and began to start this adventure. At the time, I met many new students joining the white belt or junior cub classes, and now see them with 1 step left... until black belt. These connections I have made along the way are amazing and I love seeing how everything grows. I always love teaching and being able to watch as everything matures while I do. Perspectives change, personalities shift, but I never lose any love or care I’m giving or am given. Outside of the dojo, I am a sophomore in high school and have set broad interests in mechanical engineering, cartoon drawing, and cooking! Currently, I have many projects going on for school and my own personal interests. I like to draw anything that comes to mind during a calm night and have made a goal to cook more for my family and experiment with new recipes. As an engineer, I love tinkering with trinkets and have been improving my skills for a larger project planned for the summer. During this month, the weather is changing, birds are chirping, and happiness is in the air. Spring break will give everybody time to relax and replenish the energy we need. Spending time with family, friends, and doing the things you all enjoy will be a lot easier to do, and will be lots of fun. I can’t wait to replenish my energy and see everybody else’s enthusiasm.
