We often take our teeth for granted despite our smile being so important to our self-image and one of the first things people see. But the consequences of inadequate oral care don’t just mean you might get a cavity or have a need for teeth-whitening. It could mean problems below the surface, namely increased risks for heart disease, stroke or health complications caused by severe infections. Learn more from the Smile Generation blog and about our new magazine, Generations of Smiles, which aims to educate and explore the connection between a healthy mouth and a healthy body. https://bddy.me/3rMLWeD #MouthBodyConnection #HeartMonth

Have a safe and funfilled Halloween!
October is National Orthodontic Health Month and, just in time for Halloween, we have a harvest of helpful ortho information to share. Really, we like sharing this kind of information throughout the year because orthodontic health can also impact your overall health, in addition to helping you enjoy a healthier, happier, and straighter smile. Clear aligners are a good alternative for patients who want a straighter smile but do not want to wear traditional braces. Additionally, aligners are beneficial for patients with previous orthodontic treatment who want to make minor corrections to their smiles. There are several advantages to using clear aligners: Clear aligners are difficult for other people to see You don’t need to avoid sticky foods or gum because you take out clear aligners before eating It’s easy to brush and floss after meals since the aligners are removable Clear aligners are more comfortable and less likely to irritate the gums and cheeks than braces
Thank you Matt for your kind words on Google, we strive to provide excellent service to our patients!

We bet that fresh breath is important now more than ever since you're wearing a mask and staying safe! We have 4 helpful tips to help you keep your breath fresh and pleasant all day long. 1. Eat your greens! Eating green leafy vegetables, or any water-rich fruits & veggies, is a great way to keep your breath in check because the water in those foods helps with saliva production. 2. Brush or scrape your tongue: Your tongue is a wonderful collector of gunk. So, to keep your bre...ath smelling fresh all day, you’ve got to keep it clean. Be sure to aim for the back of your tongue where most of the particles tend to linger. 3. Carry the right tools: Keep a toothbrush, toothpaste, and floss on hand for when you have a delicious garlicky meal. 4. Water is your friend: Pack a water bottle when you leave the house and actively try to drink more water during the day. Use an app or set reminders on your phone. Water is good for you and your breath! #NationalFreshBreathDay #FreshBreath
There’s nothing a good song can’t make better! Getting your kids to dance to their favorite song while they brush their teeth is the perfect way to time a two-minute brush and make it fun! #BackToSchool
We hear this a lot, How can I straighten my teeth? First, an orthodontist will take digital X-rays and molds of your teeth. Then, they will help you choose your best option. Braces have become a fashion statement with fun-colored ties to match your favorite sports team or even just your mood. More discrete options are popular with adults, like ceramic tooth-colored braces or clear aligners (like Invisalign). Treatment is customized based on your needs and with braces, office visits are typically scheduled every 4-6 weeks.
Congratulations to Lizet on her work anniversary! Dr. Elie and the team celebrated her 10 year work milestone. Thank you Lizet for serving your community and for all that you do. We all appreciate you! #EmpireDentalGroupandOrthodontics
