Inspired by the scriptures ~~~ProjectVine ~~~ Golden treasure Dripping over my shoulder... In the cave Glittery sparkle My eyes behold I stand Ponder and wonder As the heaviness of sin Cause me to wonder In the filth of slumber Dead eyes Can’t see Yet the drips I feel That have come to me Dripping over my shoulder The treasure I’ll tell forever Jesus my Lord My Savior ~~~N.R~~~ See more

Because of the two men that came up positive for Covid-19 we will not be holding services for our community for two weeks. The Men that remain are negative and we will continue as a Bible Institution. Please keep Mark Sims And Mark Hester in your prayers as they quarantine at a isolated site. If any others come up positive they also will be moved to a site for them to recover. Thank you for your continued prayers and support!

One of the guys has come up postive on our testing day Mark Hester wasn’t feeling well so they did a rapid test which came back postive. They will be sending h...im to a disclosed location Since Covid-19 the city has been very closely watching the mission for many months no postive test until today, Because of the closely watch they are handling the situation a little different (very cautiously) The rest of the men don’t know yet if we are postive. Emmanuel Baptist Rescue Mission is not able to minister to the community which is a huge blow We would have to follow guidelines which will mean a shutdown for two weeks. Keep Mark Hester in your prayers! God is in control See more

Water has been off for several days and today was another dead end An attempt to find the leak the pipes have gone into the foundation walls and it cannot be located by plumbers. They will be running a new line for the main water line which was option two for us. Please keep us in prayer that the work won’t prolong to many days! We are grateful to be able to help our friends that are going through a rough time. Many ups and downs that men and women go through on Skidrow yet one thing stays the same, the love of Christ! Many tracts went out today with invitations to the homeless to hear the gospel in our services. We pray one sinner may come and hear and be saved from hell for all eternity! Time is running out! Luke 15:7 I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance.

Rescue the perishing, Care for the dying, Snatch them in pity from sin and the grave; Weep o’er the erring one, Lift up the fallen,... Tell them of Jesus the mighty to save. Rescue the perishing, Care for the dying; Jesus is merciful, Jesus will save. Though they are slighting Him, Still He is waiting, Waiting the penitent child to receive; Plead with them earnestly, Plead with them gently; He will forgive if they only believe. Rescue the perishing, Care for the dying; Jesus is merciful, Jesus will save. Down in the human heart, Crushed by the tempter, Feelings lie buried that grace can restore; Touched by a loving heart, Wakened by kindness, Chords that are broken will vibrate once more. Rescue the perishing, Care for the dying; Jesus is merciful, Jesus will save. Rescue the perishing, Duty demands it; Strength for thy labor the Lord will provide; Back to the narrow way, Patiently win them; Tell the poor wand’rer a Savior has died. Rescue the perishing, Care for the dying; Jesus is merciful, Jesus will save. Emmanuel Baptist Rescue Mission

Today pancakes and sausages were served to our community! We are thankful to the Lord for the opportunities he gives us to reach others for Christ. Richard was once in addiction from crack cocaine and homelessness. Many years ago, he was coming to eat like so many others and as he heard the Gospel his heart started to be awaken to the truth of the Gospel. As time went on he enrolled in our bible institute program. Getting sober and strong in the Lord he completed the progra...m and graduated. He went through an internship that was a year long to learn of the ministry of serving and enduring those times. It’s amazing to see the power of God change a sinners heart to a giving heart. Now on staff here Richard is preaching to our guest this morning about the Lord Jesus. 1 Samuel 2:8 KJV [8] He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth up the beggar from the dunghill, to set them among princes, and to make them inherit the throne of glory: for the pillars of the earth are the Lord's, and he hath set the world upon them. Matthew 4:19-20 And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men. [20] And they straightway left their nets, and followed him.

September 1st we will be opening our doors to the community! We are very excited to get back to ministering to the residents of Skidrow! Since march we closed our doors for the events of the pandemic caused great concern for the homeless. Although our doors were closed we still continue to mentor and disciple our men that were enrolled in the Bible Institute Program. Classes and bible studies remained for the months that were going to come. Hundreds of sack lunches and hun...dreds of gospel tracts would be handed out to the community during this time. A few months ago the city started doing test to our staff and the disciples for COVID-19. We have been negative since with test twice a month. Services / Monday - Saturday Tuesday we will be opening our doors at 8:30am and doors will close at 9:00am. The service will begin and breakfast will be served afterwards (takeout only) In the evening time doors will open at 5:45pm and doors will close at 6:15. Service will begin and dinner will be served afterwards (takeout only) Bible study/ Monday - Friday 5:00pm Sunday Service doors will open at 2:30 and close at 3:00pm. Dinner will be served after the service. (Takeout only) Due to COVID-19 restrictions we will not be able to house any off the street for the requirements will be for them to be quarantined for two weeks. Such demand makes it very difficult for both sides. So please pray for these restrictions to be dropped soon! *Robert Cole will notify churches when it’s okay to start coming. Right now staff will be managing the preaching for now. Sack lunches with tracts will continue to be given on Wednesday and Sundays to the community. Keep us in your prayers for this will be the only mission opening up for the time being and the demand will be high.

Pastor Doyel will be leaving to go on an evangelistic trip and won’t be back for a few months. He has been a blessing to each one of us as he would come several times a week to challenge us to become Christ like. Pray for him and his wife Sandy Doyel as they travel to preach the gospel.

Today’s reading was from Psalm chapter 19 and 20. Every morning at 7:25am we all read a verse and go over what we have read together. Some have questions and word problems over the passages, so we make sure we have time to go over the questions and explain the scriptures. For our new converts this is a exercise we have them go through for the purpose of building quiet time with the Lord on there own when they move on. It is so important to us for them to keep their hearts a...live by the Word of God daily for it is our strength. Keep the men at Emmanuel in your prayers as they grow in the knowledge of the Lord!
