After yesterday’s surprise today I finished welding all the @jamesduffbroncos brackets onto the frame and primed it. Have to tell you that red paint was horrible. #emeraldlanela @ Los Angeles, California

Was not expecting this. Took the bronco frame outside to give it a wash and what do you guys think happened? The paint started flaking off . Remember prep work is the key to a good paint job. @ Los Angeles, California

A little spray paint goes along way to change the look of the work truck. #emeraldlanela @ Los Angeles, California

56 hand tapped 8/32 holes in 54* weather is not fun on the fingers. Just need to do 3 more doors tomorrow. #emeraldlanela

The view from this new job site is going to be worth the drive. #emeraldlanela

Our wedding anniversary was a week ago but these lights will forever remind me of my wife @chinchilla.the.great. I restored them for our backyard wedding and now they light the entrance to our patio. #emeraldlanela

My sister @marlinleivaphoto sent me some gems from our past. This might of been 1982 when our parents brought us here from Guatemala. Check out my hair . Can you believe I still have the table we are sitting on and the scars that came from it. #emeraldlanela

Throwing it back to when we first started our business, this was one of our first projects we worked on, making glass globe pendant lights for #nobu restaurant in Malibu. Time flies when your trying to run a business but I’m thankful for all the projects that allowed us to grow to where we are now.

This corvette had gone through a couple hands before I got a hold of it. Not going to lie this was one of the harder ones to put back together as it came in boxes and had a lot of missing parts. It was widened 3 if I remember had a full custom chassis with C6 suspension and a LS3. #emeraldlanela

Tech tip for the beginners or who ever want to use it. Clean up the engine bay of your project by making the ugly hose clamps disappear. All you need is some heat shrink and some snips to cut off the excess hose clamp for a nice tight look. Don’t mind the chrome hose that’s what the customer wanted and they pay the bills. #emeraldlanela

Here’s a little something for the fox body guys. This had a lot of upgrades to it but since we live in California we had to make it look as stock as possible. Ported upper and lower intakes with aluminum heads painted to look like steel heads and your basic looking upgrades that everyone does to these to keep the look. #emeraldlanela

The non glamorous side that no one shows you. This truck had four computers that had to talk to each other. There was a lot of thought that went into routing so many wires all while making them stay out of sight. It was like stuffing 20lbs of c#&p in a 5lb bag. #emeraldlanela

Emerald Lane L.A. 31.08.2020

Now that you’ve seen some videos on the truck here’s what’s going on underneath. It’s a full custom frame with C6 corvette suspension front and rear w/ Camaro diff and custom axles. Engine is a coyote 5.0 w/6r80 trans. #emeraldlanela

That’s right folks the 56 f100 had remote start and power everything. What a pain in the butt to get all the computers to talk to each other but it all came together in the end. #emeraldlanela

Emerald Lane L.A. 03.08.2020

Here’s another quick video of the f100 the first time it moved under its own power. #emeraldlanela

Emerald Lane L.A. 16.07.2020

Not much going on in the shop today so here’s a video of a restomod 56 f100 I built a while back. Let me know if you guys want to see more car stuff. #emeraldlanela

Can you believe this was our plasma table station . How embarrassing! I finally had enough of the chaos and took the day to set it up properly. It’s amazing what a little bit of paint and elbow grease can do. Now who needs something cut?

Emerald Lane L.A. 20.06.2020

Looks like today is going to be interesting. Not really sure what this is and neither does my son but he wants me to build it for him. . He said it was a surprise. #emeraldlanela
