This is for my friends who enjoy riding on Poplar Beach in Half Moon Bay. The HMB City Council has with only 72 hrs notice put on the agenda the nonrenewal of Sea Horse Ranch's permit for commercial equestrian use. However the staff is apparently going after all equestrian use as buried in the staff report is the following: "In conjunction with or separate from the above noted actions, the City Council may also wish to consider the public policy aspect of permitting (or not permitting) certain or all equestrian activity on City beaches." I urge those interested to attend the City Council Meeting this Tuesday, December 4 at 7PM at the Ted Adcock Community Center, 535 Kelly Avenue, Half Moon Bay.
