So the winter Solstice is upon us, the 22nd of December .. It makes sense to celebrate our Solstice Wine Club with a bit of a party. So I proclaim that the 19th and 20th Wine Club weekend!! Sadly we will not be Tasting wine. However we are pleased to offer Tacos and Shopping and a Holiday Wine Special. We booked our favorite vendor, Your Taco Guy for Saturday the 19th from 1:00 to 4:00. The Taco plates are comp for current Wine Club Members and will be packed for take... out. You will be able to shop in the tasting room for wine, Sol Sisters merchandise and jewelry. Just filled up the Honey display today.. Appointments’ for 45 minutes are requested due to the 20% occupancy limitation requirement. Email to [email protected] or buzz 925 606 1827 for reservations. Working on keeping those nasty Wax Moths out of the stored frames. One registered product, "Certan" is a biological product used world wide. It is not registe...red in California. Mann Lake will not ship here. Xentari, which can be purchased ans shipped ti CA is the same strain. XenTari is the world’s only biological insecticide containing a natural, potent strain (ABTS-1857) of the microorganism Bacillus thuringiensis subspecies aizawai (Bta). We did about 70 supers in less that 2 hours. We did pull the frames with pollen and put them out to dry as pollen has a tendency to mold when left in closed boxes. Simple Simple. Mix the spray.. 1 Tbs per gallon of water. We use a "McGiver" contraption to pop the frames up for easier pulling. A quick ,light spray. Pollen in the driveway to dry. No freezing. No nasty chemicals.
