Not only can you add curb appeal to your property you can also add value! First impressions are important right? 1. Mow your lawn! Tip: never cut your grass when it’s wet. 3-3.5 inches in length is ideal & do not cut more than 1/3 of the blade when mowing. 2. Fertilize the lawn! Once you determine what type of grass you have consu...lt your local home garden store about the best fertilizer for your lawn. It is ideal to fertilize before summer. 3. Small seeding projects! Plant a bed of perennials or flowering shrubs. There are many low maintenance and low cost perennials/flowering shrubs that are available at your local garden store. 4. Scarify your yard! What does this mean? This means removing dead grass and other items from your lawn. Use a dethatching rake or a dethatcher to remove the layer of debris on top of your lawn. Be very gentle to avoid pulling up the grass itself. 5. Watering! One of the most essential parts of maintaining a landscape is watering it. With a rain gauge and sprinklers, a homeowner can easily adjust their watering schedules according to weather and grass conditions.
