Cornell University just announced that it will no longer release its admissions data--information like acceptance rate, average SAT or ACT score for admitted students, etc. They join Stanford University, which stopped releasing admissions data a few years ago. This is a worrisome trend in college admissions. Students and parents want more information not less.
