We are thrilled and honored to welcome Maestro John Estrada of Grupo Folklorico de West Los Ángeles as another featured instructor. John Estrada is considered a Folklórico pioneer in California having co-founded the original Danzantes Unidos Festival back in 1979. He is the Founder/Director/Choreographer of Grupo Folklórico de West LA.

We are happy to welcome Maestro Miguel Marrón of Grandeza Mexicana as one of our young adult workshop instructors. Maestro Miguel is a dedicated practitioner of Folklórico having began at an early age. This year we are pleased to have Maestro Zenón Barrón of Ensambles Ballet Folklórico de San Francisco as the Master Workshop instructor! This workshop will focus on the zapateo tabasqueño, a unique style of footwork rooted in Tabasco’s diverse cultural influences: the mestizo, Olmeca, Spanish, and African. Maestro Zenón is the Artistic Director/Choreographer of Ensambles Ballet Folklórico de San Francisco. He is classically trained in ballet, modern dance and Mexican folk dan...ce. He also toured the U.S. and Europe as a dance member of Ballet Folklórico de México de Amalia Hernandez. Register Today!

Maestra Kareli Montoya will be teaching a workshop covering all the relevant musical concepts for Folklórico. Workshop will be taught with LIVE MUSIC!... Maestra Kareli is an accomplished Artistic Director/Choreographer for BFLA having also worked on a number of projects with Disney Studios bringing the film COCO to life!
