Big work day today, changing out haybales and replacing them with our new BigBoy range targets. The 10/20 yard instructional range, and 30-80 yard sight in range have all new target butts! Plus good progress on the sight in range shooting station restoration!

The 30-80 yard sight in range is closed for approximately 2 weeks for repairs! Please do NOT shoot on the sight in range! The 10-20 CSD training range will be closed for repair on Wednesday 10/21. The rest of the range ( 10-20 training range after weds, The 28 target field range and the broadhead pit ) is open for use. Sorry for the inconvenience. Thank you

The 2020 Zombie Shoot and Swap Meet has been cancelled for this year! We are truly sorry to have to cancel this fun shoot but for the time being we feel erring on the side of public safety is best! The ElDorado Hills Bowmen

The Range will be Closed Tuesday (10/20). The Club is bringing in a back hoe and 3 truck/trailers of road base next Tuesday. The range will be very congested with truck deliveries and road base being spread on the main road. In addition to road repair, we will be installing drainage culverts and repairs to the sight in and 20yd practice ranges.... Depending on Tuesday's work progress, repairs may extend to Wednesday but we see no need to shut down the entire range that day. Busy times.

Members are entrusted to close and lock the gate immediately after entering and when leaving the grounds. It has been noted that recently, a lack of compliance with this request has resulted in the gate being left open at all hours and overnight. Please keep the following in mind: The privilege to park beyond the gate is a membership benefit, granted in appreciation for supporting the Club through dues. Remember we are completely self-funded! Maintenance, targets, impr...ovements, etc., are possible only through dues, donations and the volunteered efforts of Club members. Leaving the gate open nullifies this incentive to join. Allowing non-member vehicles beyond the gate can result in their capture, when a conscientious member accidently locks them in. A Board member must respond and release the captured individual. Leaving the gate open, especially overnight, invites trespassers. In the past, this has resulted in break-ins to the buildings and damage to equipment. Money spent on the repairs and replacement of equipment could have gone to much better use! Please, help us to keep the Range safe and to minimize problems with lock-ins: close the gate each time you enter and exit the grounds. ********

Broadhead range now open ! The El Dorado Hills Bowmen Range now has a venue for shooting broadhead arrows. The facility offered a 30 - 80 yd. Sight-in Range, a 20 yd. Teaching Range, a 28 target NFAA certified Field Archery Range, and now features a Broadhead Range.... We hope that providing hunters a designated place to fine-tune their equipment will eliminate the damaging practice of shooting broadhead arrows into the straw bales used elsewhere throughout the Range. The new Broadhead Range has a single shooting line with target sites at 20, 40, and 60 yds. The Club plans to provide a limited number of targets, but due to their short shelf life, it is unclear whether we can sustain the expense. Therefore, shooters are encouraged to bring their own targets, ensuring something to shoot at.

Truck Deliveries at the Range on Friday May 29, 2020 (Sunrise till 11am) This Friday morning, we will be receiving road base (4 trucks and trailers) and equipment to spread it. While we would normally close the range for such activities, this time, we will try to accommodate shooters while we do the work. The lower parking lot will be used to stage equipment. ... We will have parking for a few member vehicles between the Club House and the Storage Bldg. All others will have to park on El Dorado Hills Blvd. Parking Restrictions should end approximately 11am. Hi All, Given the unprecedented situation with COVID-19 and nearby community directives, the El Dorado Hills Bowmen are cancelling all events until further notice, including the JOAD practice and try-outs planned for this weekend, as well as our Monsoon Madness shoot planned for 3/29. Please keep yourselves, family, friends, and the healthcare workers safe by practicing good judgement, keeping your distance, washing your hands, and staying home.
