The Elderberry Apothecary 05.04.2021

We've created a FB group for Chico plant people -- that means you! If you're interested in... ~learning more about what's happening locally (Butte County, Chico) with herbalism ~ bartering, trading, selling and buying local herbs and herbal products... ~learning and having conversations about plants and herbalism ~ checking IDs for local plants ~shifting the paradigm of local medicine and health ...then this is the space for you! Part of the vision for the Elderberry Apothecary is to foster herbal community in Butte County, and this is a great way to do it. Maybe you're looking for a good place to wildcraft a certain herb, or you are growing calendula and you want to share! Maybe you just want to be the "room" with folks who are having conversations that have to do with herbalism, because you are wanting to learn more about working with plants. Maybe you want to share your awesome recipe for elderberry, or the results from your elderflower champagne. Of maybe you just learned some awesome new properties of mugwort, or you want to meet up with folks at the creek and talk herbs. The list goes on...all are welcome! Special considerations: If you are an herbalist who sells products, you're welcome to post, especially if someone is asking for recommendations for a specific ailment, or you want to educate about an awesome plant that you work with locally. Please, don't spam. I'm planning on making a post where local makers can post links to their shops so we can have a resource list of where to buy local products. However, this is not a place to be solely promoting yourself, but instead, to be building relationships. And, I will remove memes, even hilarious herbalist memes, unless they are butte county specific (they can get to be distracting in groups). Please help this to be a focused and intentional space for all to learn and share in the world of plant love and healing. Please consider joining us, and invite your friends! <3 xoxo, Lily Rothrock Due to Covid-19, we're postponing this year's herb faire, which we had planned for May 31st (tomorrow). We will postpone it until we are allowed to gather outside again.
