San Diego County residents who have been financially impacted by COVID-19 may qualify for rental assistance through the Emergency Rental Assistance Program (ERAP) available in the jurisdiction in which they live. Below is general information about the multiple Emergency Rental Assistance Programs currently available and instructions on how to apply. The program provides rent and utilities payment assistance for renters. City of San Diego Residents For City of San Diego information and to apply, please visit www.covidassistance.sdhc.org The City of San Diego COVID-19 Housing Stability Assistance Program helps to pay past-due, unpaid rent and utilities for individuals and families with low income in the City of San Diego who experience financial hardship due to the COVID-19 pandemic. All other Residents in San Diego County For the County of San Diego COVID-19 ERAP, please visit https://covid-19-2021-rental-assistance.sandiegocounty.gov The County’s ERAP serves renters countywide, except those residing in the cities of San Diego and Chula Vista. The program is open to renters who have experienced financial hardship directly or indirectly related to COVID-19, or have qualified for unemployment during the pandemic. AGENCIAS LOCALES ANUNCIAN EVENTO DE VACUNACION MASIVO DE COVID-19 PARA ADULTOS DE 65 AÑOS Y MAYORES CONDADO DE IMPERIAL, CA Oficiales del Condado de Imperia...l anunciaron hoy que un evento de vacunación masivo por servicio vehicular para la primera dosis de la vacuna se ha programado para el día jueves 4 de febrero, 2021 en el Colegio del Valle Imperial de 8:00 am a 1:00 pm. El evento se ofrecerá para personas del Condado Imperial de 65 años de edad y mayores por cita solamente. Aproximadamente 1,300 dosis de la vacuna estará disponible para el evento. Personal de salud pública tomará medidas de protección en el evento y cualquier persona que acuda con síntomas de COVID-19 no podrá recibir la vacuna ese día. Se les pide a las personas que acudan a recibir la vacuna que lleven una identificación con su fecha de nacimiento. Se le pide al público que usen cubre bocas y si es posible, manga corta. El evento se llevará acabo en coordinación con el Departamento de Salud Pública del Condado de Imperial, el Colegio del Valle Imperial y la Oficina de Emergencias del Condado de Imperial, así como otras agencias afiliadas. Tome en cuenta que hay operadores limitados contestando las llamadas. Las personas que participen en el evento de vacunación deben llegar no más de 15 minutos antes de su cita y necesitan llegar en vehículo. Las personas también tendrán que esperar no menos de 15 minutos después de recibir la vacuna para observación. La entrada al evento será por la entrada norte del colegio por el tráfico que corre hacia el sur por la Carretera 111 histórica (favor de consultar el mapa para mayores informes). Este no será el único evento de vacunación masiva que se programará para el Condado de Imperial. Conforme se vaya recibiendo grandes números de vacuna, otros eventos de vacunación masivos serán programados. Para mayores informes o asistencia, las personas de 65 años y mayores pueden comunicarse a la línea informativa de COVID-19 del Departamento de Salud Pública del Condado de Imperial al 442-265-6700 o a la Línea Informativa de la Agencia del Área para Personas de la Tercera Edad al 442-265-7033. Se ha programado disponibilidad para medios en el evento de vacunación en el Colegio del Valle Imperial. Medios de comunicación interesados en cubrir el evento y entrevistar a personal participante pueden confirmar su participación a más tardar el miércoles 3 de febrero a las 12:00 pm enviando un correo a [email protected]. PARTNER AGENCIES ANNOUNCE COVID-19 VACCINE MASS VACCINATION CLINIC FOR 65 YEARS AND OLDER IMPERIAL COUNTY, CA Imperial County officials announced today that ...a mass vaccination drive-thru clinic for first dose has been scheduled for Thursday February 4, 2021 at Imperial Valley College in Imperial from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm. The event will be for individuals from Imperial County 65 years of age and older and will be by appointment only. Approximately 1,300 doses of vaccine will be available for the clinic. Public Health staff will be taking protective measures at the vaccination event and anyone arriving to the clinic with symptoms of COVID-19, will be unable to receive the vaccination on that day. Attendees should take a picture ID that includes their date of birth. In addition, attendees are required to wear a face covering and encouraged to wear a short sleeve shirt. The event is being hosted by the Imperial County Public Health Department, Imperial Valley College, Imperial County Office of Emergency Services, and other partner agencies. We are pleased to be able to offer a mass vaccination event for our community, stated Dr. Stephen Munday, County Health Officer. We know that our community is interested in receiving their vaccine in a variety of settings including at drive-thru clinics and fortunately we received enough vaccine this week to make this a possibility. We are grateful for the partnership we have developed with Imperial Valley College that has allowed us to use their campus to provide this important service to our community. Chairman of the Imperial County Board of Supervisors, Michael Kelley stated, Due to the partnership we have established, we are excited about the opportunity to offer the vaccine to our senior community in this large-scale setting. I want to thank all the individuals who are working very hard to put this event together. Imperial Valley College is honored to host the COVID-19 Mass Vaccination Clinic on site. We sincerely thank Imperial County Office of Emergency Services, Imperial County Public Health Department and every Medical and Allied Health professional who is directly supporting our COVID-19 impacted community. IVC is the community’s college and we are committed to continue to serve Imperial County as best as possible, stated Dr. Martha Garcia, Superintendent/President at Imperial Valley College. Individuals interested in receiving the COVID-19 vaccine at this vaccination event can schedule an appointment by going to http://tinyurl.com/3vlf25qq and click on the 65 years of age and older tab. It is highly encouraged that individuals schedule their appointments online, however those who lack access to a computer and internet can schedule an appointment by calling 442-265-6700 or 442-265-7033. Please note that the number of operators is limited for those scheduling their appointment by phone and there could be a longer wait when using this method. Clinic attendees are encouraged to arrive no earlier than 15 minutes prior to their scheduled appointment time and will need to arrive in a vehicle. Individuals should also expect to stay no less than 15 minutes after they receive their vaccine for observation. Entrance to the clinic will be through the north side of the college campus via southbound traffic on Old Highway 111 (please see map for additional information). This will not be the only mass vaccination event that is planned for Imperial County. As larger allocations of vaccine arrive to the area, other mass vaccination events will be scheduled.
