Officers contacted an adult male in the 800 block of Adams Avenue after he walked into traffic. While speaking with officers the male admitted to having a loaded firearm in his waistband. This .22 caliber revolver was loaded at the time officers recovered it from the male. He was arrested on two felony warrants and being a felon in possession of a loaded firearm. He is now housed at the county jail. #notatoy #keepingelcentrosafe

*** Missing Person *** Please help us locate Rosendo Villagrana Haro. This 67-year-old gentleman was last seen today (April 6, 2021) at 7:30 a.m. in the area of 4th and Smoketree in El Centro. Mr. Haro is not familiar with the area and was passing through with family members. He does not have a cellular phone in his possession. Mr. Haro was last seen wearing a black hat, gray shirt with white dots, camouflage shorts, and gray tennis shoes. He has a dark complexion and a mustache as seen in the photograph. Our front lobby is now open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. We are allowing two individuals in the lobby at a time with proper face covering. Our lobby will continue to be locked outside of business hours.

On Monday, we received a very special visit from the El Centro Elementary School District. The district's Arts Festival, themed "You Rock," involved hundreds of students within the district. The students painted rocks to show their appreciation to our employees who served the community during the pandemic. We are truly grateful to have the support of our community.
