El Rancho Chico Golf Club

The Chico Open is set for the weekend of June 7 & 8. This 2-person tournament features a Best Ball format on Saturday and a Scramble on Sunday. $65 per team entry includes lunch both days. ERC has added $500 to the prize fund. Sign up by this weekend.

If you play in Twilight League, just a reminder that beginning tonight, May 27, tee time is 5:45. That will stay in effect for the rest of the season.

Just a reminder that this weekend marks the end of the 1st week of President's Cup Qualifying. All attempts must be from the new Blue/White combo tees. Great weather today and Saturday. Sunday is a bit "iffy". Just a reminder that the February ERC tournament is the ever popular Gold Tee Skins Game. It is scheduled for Sunday, Feb 23, with an 8:00 shot gun start. $20 to enter with both gross and net payouts. The deadline to enter is Tuesday, Feb 18.

Next Sunday (January 26) is the first tourney on the ERC 2014 schedule. It's a Shamble/Scramble, 8:00 shotgun start. Four person teams will play 9 holes of Scramble on the front side, and 9 holes of Shamble on the back. It should be a beautiful day, and there is no football, so get your team together and sign up today.

Congratulations to the foursome of Mark Streets, Jeff Blocker, Cliff Kitayama and Duane Wilk who took the top prize in the NCGA zone qualifier, held this past weekend, and will now move on to play in Monterey.

At tonight's meeting, the ERC Board of Directors decided to award both the Gross AND the Net winners of this weekend's Club Championship one year of free entries into all the ERC tournaments. This is in addition to the normal prize money, of which an additional $500 was also added. Because of the late addition of these new prizes, the deadline has been extended one more day. Be sure to sign up by tomorrow - Thursday July 11. Also note, that 8 a.m. tee times will be in effect both Sat and Sun. The cost is $35 per player. Lunch will be provided on Sunday. Overall low gross and net prizes by flight for the two days, plus day money for low gross/net by flights.
