El Dorado Practical Shooters

On 2-21-21 select members of the El Dorado County Sheriff Explorers Post 457 joined the United States Practical Shooters Association (USPSA) members in an "Intr...o to USPSA" course at the El Dorado Gun Club. The Explorers would like to thank the instructors for showing them how to compete in the USPSA and exposing them to the world of safe competitive shooting exercising their 2nd amendment rights. The instructors provided a rules and safety procedures walk-through and then using a set-up course of fire had the Explorers participate in a competition-like course. They explained how the competition progresses and gave members pointers and suggestions to succeed at each step. This course was open to the public and others were participating besides the Explorers. The instructors really showed the Explorers what is possible without even being warmed up. The Post would also like to thank the Friends of the NRA whose grants have supported the youth firearms education program. Hey Shooters Thank You for filling up our July 4th match. We are hoping to do something special. We are working on some type of food service. More to come. ... We still need stage designers, at least 2 maybe 3. You will need to design a big stage(32 rnds) and make it convertible to a short stage or a speed shoot. You will also need to be there for setup on Friday. For this you will be comped. We will have all ranges open Friday in the morning for setup. This will enable us to get done early. Just saying July, sounds hot. Thanks again shooters and as always thank you to our loyal setup crew.

Hallelujah We are opening up for our June 6th match. It will be limited to 12 shooters per squad. There will be no shooters meeting, just hang out in you bay. ... Squad 1 will start on the Pistol Bay. Squad 2 on the Wedge and 3 on Rifle. Then we will have individual squad briefings. Undoubtedly more on that later. Now for our renewed monthly plea. We need stage designers and help with setup, please. If you design a stage and help set it up we will comp you. As El General will not be there, we are working on a way to reward help. It should be up on Practiscore tonight.
