Life is challenging. Sure there is beauty and much to enjoy, but if you live long enough suffering is a reality. We suffer for all kinds of reasons, but for the Christian, hope stands. Join us this Sunday as we start a new series in 1 Peter. We're excited to jump in with you.
If you missed it- check out the recording of our livestream service this morning Neal Brower brings a message from Matthew 13. Title "Living Neck Deep in the Weeds" focuses on a Christ-follower's response to the times we live in. https://youtu.be/UAxbFSUNrQY
Has life ever felt this exhausting? At a time when the gospel seems so attacked, Jesus invites us, not to remove the attackers, but to "grow up together with them," until Jesus determines it is time for harvest. Join us this Sunday as our guest speaker EFCA Western District Superintendent Neal Brower teaches from Matthew 13. Don't miss this challenging and encouraging message!
Join us for "Love God, Love People: Give What We've Received." In Jesus, we've received God's love. As followers of Jesus we’re called to not keep this love to ourselves, but to give what we've received. Join us this Sunday as we look to understand Jesus' way of loving people around us.
The scriptures are full of "what God's like" and "how we should live"; in other words, indicatives and imperatives. Join us this Sunday as Pastor Kenny explores with us how to live in pursuit of our first love.
We are so excited for this Sunday as we welcome the Stone family to EFCC! Join us as Kenny Stone blesses us with his first message as Lead Pastor, "Love God, Love People." Don't miss it!
Pastor Jud wraps up his series this week on "The Church: A Body, not a Building." This Sunday we will be looking at the seven Spiritual Gifts listed in Romans 12 with special consideration given to verses 1 and 2 in this message, The Manifestations of the Spirit. Jud will expand on the imagery from two weeks ago using the metaphor of a symphony orchestra to describe the church. Don't miss it!
Due to improving air quality, we are meeting in person this Sunday, September 20 at 9 AM! We have had the grounds pressure-washed to remove ash and provide a safe place for us to be together. As always, feel free to take individual precautions as needed. Please tune in to our YouTube channel at 9 AM for our Worship Service Live if you're unable to make it to campus. We can't wait to see you!
This week we watched in horror as planes crashed into the steel and glass of the World Trade Center. Those majestic towers, built on solid foundations, were examples of prosperity and creativity. When damaged, those buildings plummeted to the ground, imploding in upon themselves. Yet, underneath the debris, is a foundation that was not destroyed. Therein lies the truth of that hymn, How Firm a Foundation. Yes, our nation has been attacked, buildings destroyed, lives lost.... But now we have a choice: whether to implode and disintegrate emotionally and spiritually as a people and a nation; or to choose to become stronger through all of this struggle, to rebuild on a solid foundation. -Billy Graham, September 14, 2001 Today, 19 years later, our nation is navigating a whole host of tragedies and hardships. We need to look to Jesus Christ, our Firm Foundation. He is our Hope (1 Peter 1:13), Deliverer (Romans 11:26), and Helper (1 John 2:1). May we as individuals and as a nation depend on the One Foundation that never fails. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yKLTke_9qrQ
