You can help write the County of Santa Clara, California's Children’s Outdoor Bill of Rights! The bill will be a summary of the essential rights to nature and the outdoors that every child deserves to have as they grow up. Complete a short survey to share how you like to spend time outdoors. The survey is available in English, Spanish, and Vietnamese. Survey for parents and youth providers: http://bit.ly/2Ofc5nP Survey for children, youth and young adults: http://bit.ly/2NQoK0P
Intensive family engagement is critical to the work we do. As a core feature of the #Educare model, we recognize its importance to the success of our high-quality programs and understand the value effective family engagement efforts bring to Educare. During dismissal today, we hosted a family engagement fair for our families to learn about our #virtual parenting workshops and resources available through our Family Resource Center, get to know our local evaluation partners, and our children even received their very own #Educare t-shirt from our Director of Educare Programs! If you would like to learn more about Educare, visit www.educaresv.org or call 408-573-4800.
Thank you to our partners at the Children's Discovery Museum of San Jose for contributing supplies for next week's all-staff virtual #PD focused on using loose parts to strengthen family engagement in a virtual world!

There are no gardening mistakes, only experiments. - Janet Kilburn Phillips A small group of staff came together this morning to build (physically distant) community, engage in embedded professional development, and begin the process of experimenting in our garden beds! #teamwork #gardening #lifelonglearning
"When a child walks in the room, your child or anyone else's child, do your eyes light up? That's what they are looking for." - Toni Morrison
Way to go, Rosalia! We are grateful for the leadership and love you bring to Educare and our community! .
Social-emotional learning plays a big role in raising caring, confident children. There are so many ways for your unique child to contribute to the world. Maybe it's a small act of kindness, or maybe their curiosity for learning will lead them to invent the next big thing that changes the way we live our lives. Encourage your little ones to do all they can to make the world a better place! #WednesdayWisdom
Yesterday's reopening buzzed with excitement as children met one another and engaged with indoor and outdoor learning spaces, enthusiastically manipulating materials in symbolic play and exploring nature in our new gardens. Many thanks to the educators who thoughtfully created signs to greet families and run through our new health safety procedures in anticipation of our reopening. It's wonderful to have children and families back on campus, and we look forward to slowly welcoming more of you back here soon! The process will be gradual so that we can do it right and as safely as possible.
Find age-based resources from ZERO TO THREE to help raise a child who is a curious explorer and thoughtful problem-solver.
