This article in the Wall Street Journal writes about the World Mammoth Museum in Yakutsk, Russia. The executive summary is that (i) there's a World Mammoth Museum (ii) Yakutsk has lots of Woolly Mammoth remains which (iii) people are apparently free to dig up and sell i.e. "There's tusks in that thar permafrost." We'll avoid editorializing on the complex ethical issues, but we're sure the museum cafeteria would benefit from having Ed's Red on the menu.
