Very sad news here. One of our local high school football comrades' and friend (Jimmy Nolan) has had some horrible news about his family today. He lost his youngest daughter this morning in a car accident while traveling on the east coast. His wife and 2 of his other children are in critical condition right now. Jimmy Nolan coached FV high school football for a few years and currently is coaching at Costa Mesa HS. Many of you may know Jimmy from his Speed kills agility training camps. All of us at Edison Football will keep him and his family in our deepest thoughts and prayers. EDIT: There is now a GoFund me account set up to assist: https://gf.me/u/yxux4w

Well, it's been 2 weeks since the golf tournament and I'm starting to get back a few pictures and Steve has a ton more coming my way. What a great day, I've ju...st got to say thank you to so many people for their help and the golfers who came out to participate during these tough times. Everyone did a great job of fundraising and that was just for the golf part, and we had 99 golfers. Next year with the silent auction, dinner and I'm confident we'll have a full field, we'll kick some tail. I'm looking at having it in June next year and at the same course, but first I'll need to talk with Coach Grady and the Booster Club to dial it in. Also it will be earlier in the day to accommodate the auction/dinner. Stay tuned for more pictures, details, thanks you and more.

Time is all most up and in today time we sure can use your help. Your donations will help put something normal back in their life. Proud to be a Charge!!

What a great day of fun and fellowship. So many people to thank right now, but I think I'll wait till I'm a little rested up and don't forget anyone. We raised... a nice chunk of change, when I have those numbers I'll let you know. I do do want to thank all of you for your generosity, with time and money. I didn't have time to take pictures so these are a few shots from Trish Hennegan. Steve Crothers was all over the place and has over 2000 pictures, so we'll start posting them in the next week. Misty Pinkerton pulled double duty and took some shots as well. I'll be posting again over the next week as we enter the post event phase of the tournament. "Everyday and every way we get a little better."

Had a visit from one of my Charger buddies from back in the day. Lyle Raymond and his wife Robbie brought this Charger bank that he made for our auction later t...his year. Great catching up with the two of them. A lot of memories back in the days with Bobby Smith, Don Goto, Bob Lehto, Margret Lehto, Steve Brooks, Jeff Carter, Janey Smith and especially Mr. and Mrs. Smith. See more

Couldn't find a picture using the cement cans back in 69 at the elementary school, just in case you may have thought I was kidding here's the one shower and our locker room.

Well it took us a few changes to make this happen but with everyone's help we're going to make it. Many of you leaders of foursomes I have sent you an email, p...lease pass this information to others in your crew. Just to refresh, we're playing at Meadowlark GC in HB and registration starts at 1230pm and shotgun start at 230pm. Please thank anyone you see from the course; they are the only ones doing shotguns. Steve Boussard the Asst GM has been our contact and he's been great. Don't forget to bring your mask and hand sanitizer. You will be able to drive two to a cart unless you want a single, we will have a few available. Respect others as far as social distancing goes, and we will have zero problems. I want to have a great event and we all walk away happy and healthy. Upon arrival you will be greeted by several of our volunteers who will let you know your cart assignment, from there you will go to registration and check in, then to goodie bags, mulligans, buy raffle tickets and finally to the driving range as your cart won't be ready from being sanitized after the group before, should be ready about 130 for loading your bags. I will be positioned at the practice putting area under a canopy with beer, water and possible your lunches if we don't load them on your cart before you depart. Steve Crothers we will be taking photos along with Misty Pinkerton. Tee #1 will be your 1st opportunity for a pic in front of one of our banners. There are several holes that are very close to the putting area so there will be more picture ops. Not sure we will be doing a group photo. There will be a Hole and One opportunity which is worth $8000 in prizes at #4 and World Long Drive Pro Tommy Hug will be at #18 and for a donation he will hit your drive, he will be splitting the donation with the football team. He is the son of Annette Hug who is a Charger Alumni and she will be present as well along with his Aunt Loretta Kress Burnett. We also have a putting contest worth $2500 cash, you will be able to purchase raffle tickets for $5 each to help determine who goes for the 60ft putt. No matter if the person picked makes the putt or not he or she will win $100 cash regardless. Mulligans this year will be treated as a raffle item and as well as a do over. Each mulligan costs $10ea, as in the putting contest whoever gets picked will win $100 cash. After the event is over, we need to leave, they don't want us hanging around. So, for those of you who would like, we will be heading to downtown HB and going to Longboard's, which has several outside areas we can use. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone.
